Explora Lab

Welcome to Explora Lab — a personal blog by Mark, a software engineer passionate about learning, coding, and documenting the journey.

This site mainly chronicles my hands-on experiences in software development, such as system architecture, programming challenges, debugging solutions, and infrastructure setup. If you’re in the tech field too, you might find some helpful insights or tips buried in here. Outside of work, I occasionally share bits of my life — recent books I’ve read, travel stories, or thoughts on the games I’ve played (yes, even techies need to take a break!). I do my best to provide accurate information, but as this is a one-person project, there may be occasional errors. If you spot anything off, I’d really appreciate it if you let me know via one of the contact options below.

This blog is 100% hand-built — I didn’t use WordPress or any off-the-shelf CMS. I wanted full control and the flexibility to tinker and grow it however I see fit. The design and layout are also homemade, so while it might look a bit simple, I’m continuously working to improve it. Feedback is always welcome!

About Me — Mark

I’m a software engineer with a master’s degree and enjoy building all kinds of systems.

Over the years, I’ve worked with various technologies and programming languages. In the past, I’ve used C#, C++, Lua, and VB, but these days I focus on languages I’m confident and comfortable with: PHP, Python, JavaScript, Java, and Dart (primarily for Flutter). These have become the core tools I rely on in my work.

My graduate research focused on AI-related technologies, and after graduation, I’ve been involved in professional system development. I mainly work on full-stack web development, with some mobile app projects and the occasional desktop application. I enjoy coding not just as a job, but as a genuine interest — I’d rather roll up my sleeves and dive into building something than just talk theory (though I do believe theory has its place). I’m always happy to chat about software and tech. If you’re into that too, feel free to reach out or share your thoughts!
